Esteve&Partners was selected by the Spanish Olympic Committee and the Spanish Paralympic Committee, through their local representative and our strategic partner Platon Consulting Services, to recruit the drivers for the visiting Spanish authorities to the Tokyo2020 Games, such as ministers and national federation presidents (transportation for athletes and related staff is provided by the Tokyo2020 Organization). After screening over 70 candidates and conducting over 40 interviews, a total of 36 drivers from about 10 different nationalities were selected to serve a fleet of 17 vehicles (including mini-van and sedan type cars) over 27 days, divided into two shifts. Beyond the candidate selection there was a myriad of issues to be considered: from body measurements for uniforms to strictly defined photographs for accreditation documents, to drawing up contracts and initial operations set up. Update 2021/08/18: We are very kind to hear that the Spanish Olympic Committee was very pleased with the selection and organization of the "hospitality driving", and we are now looking forward to the Paralympics!
